our story

Casey founded Atherna at 17, bringing a fundamental understanding of applied computer science, microfluidics, and nanotechnology to building the company's core systems and products. Drawing on this technical foundation, Casey helped design and build the underlying technology for Atherna's diagnostic machine and develop patentable intellectual property around the platform. Casey's work is driven by a belief that individuals should be able to take real control of their health through decentralized healthcare applications that move advanced diagnostics closer to people, not just large institutions.
